The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at MVN University recently hosted an insightful webinar titled “Regulatory Updates for Community Pharmacists,” in partnership with the Indian Pharmacy Graduation Association (IPGA).

This webinar, held in celebration of the university’s 50th anniversary, brought together prominent figures in the field of Pharmacy to share valuable insights.

He shed light on the connections between diabetes and other diseases, providing a comprehensive overview.

Navigating Pharmacy Regulations:

Professor Narendra Vivek Ahuja, former State Drug Controller, FDA Haryana, wrapped up the session by highlighting the importance of adhering to various regulations, including the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, NDPS Act, and MTP Act.

He stressed the need to follow these laws meticulously and shared that they collectively shape the pharmacy landscape.

Taking Pride in the Pharmacist Profession

Rakesh Dahiya, Senior Drug Control Officer and Licensing Authority, FDA Haryana emphasized the pride that comes with being a pharmacist.

He urged all participants to uphold the oath they took as pharmacists and to take pride in their roles within the healthcare system.

Rakesh Dahiya complemented his insights with a comprehensive slide presentation.

In a heartfelt appeal, he urged all chemists and pharmacists to actively engage with the “Sathi App” to effectively combat the misuse of NDPS drugs.

Furthermore, he highlighted the significance of ONDLS and emphasized the need for chemists and pharmacists to exclusively utilize ONDLS for tasks such as obtaining drug licenses, pharmacist changes, and retention certificates.

Insights into Drug Pricing Policy:

Amandeep Chauhan, Drug Control Officer, Mewat and Gurugram, FDA Haryana provided valuable insights into the complex world of drug pricing policy.

He discussed the factors that influence drug pricing and how it affects the pharmacy landscape.
