Directions to curb Black Marketing of Remdesivir etc
State Drugs Controller Haryana (SDC), Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Haryana in an attempt to curb complaints of Hoarding / Black Marketing of Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Tocilizumab etc. drugs and on directions issued by Drug Control General India (DCGI) made compulsory for Submission of daily Sale/ Purchase and stock record of these above said drugs.
DCGI Issued a letter to All State regulators citing a complaint received from Local Circles and requesting to curb the Hoarding and Black marketing of these Drugs.
Narender Ahooja Vivek, State Drugs Controller Haryana informed that as COVID-19 has been declared as Pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Food & Drugs Administration, Haryana is in receipt of reports of hoarding / black marketing of Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Tocilizumab etc. drugs used in the management of Corona Virus Positive patients during Covid-19 pandemic.
So all the C&FAs, Wholesalers (Authorized Stockists) are directed to sell said drugs only to the registered Hospital / Institutions under Covid-19 by the State Govt and make compliance of Conditions of approval for restricted use by DCGI for the management of Corona Virus / Covid-19 patients & not to sell these drug to the Retail Sale Drugs licensee and submit the daily sales / purchase & stock in hand report on the prescribed Performa

FDA Haryana made a Goggle Forms in which all the Drugs Control Officers (DCO) of FDA Haryana have to submit daily report of the these drugs of the concerned districts before 5.00 PM. Field officers i.e. DCOs of FDA Haryana have been directed to obtain daily sale purchase record of Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Tocilizumab etc. drugs from wholesalers and C&FAs through the said Google Forms.
The are further asked to obtain details of patients e.g. name, address etc. for whom these drugs have been used from approved hospitals / institutions through Google Form
Field officers have been directed to ensure that there should not be any hoarding and black marketing of said drugs (Remdesivir, Favipiravir, Tocilizumab etc.) during COVID-19 pandemic and ensure daily submission of reports.
