A webinar for Blood Centers of Haryana organized by Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Haryana on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day on 14th June 2020.

Narender Ahooja, State Drugs Controller (SDC), Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Haryana and Dr G P Saluja were main speakers of this webinar. Manmohan Taneja, Asstt. State Drugs Controller, FDA Haryana, Lalit Kr. Goel, Asstt. State Drugs Controller, FDA Haryana were also attended the webinar as panelists. Dr Narender Yadav moderated the webinar session.

Dr G P Saluja delivered a technical speech on Role of Blood Centre in COVID 19 Situation. He discussed the protocol issued by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for plasma transfusion and also informed about precautions to be taken by Blood Centres during collection of Blood. He also discussed of importance of NAT testing.

Narender Ahooja, SDC, FDA Haryana, discussed the provisions of Notification no GSR 166 (E) Dated 11th March 2020. Various questions raised by participants which were answered by panelists. 

In the end Dr Narender Yadav thanked panelists for this educational webinar for blood centre. He also thanked all the participants from blood centres of Haryana. He also urged FDA Haryana to continue such online educational webinars / meetings for the betterment of blood centres of Haryana.
