A webinar was organized for the chemists of Ambala and Panchkula zones, Haryana by the Price Monitoring and Resource Unit (PMRU) working under FDA Haryana.
In this webinar State Drug Controller FDA Haryana Narendra Ahooja along with all the members of PMRU Haryana, Lalit Goyal, Assistant State Drug Controller (ASDC), FDA Haryana, Ripan Mehta, ASDC, FDA Haryana and Project Coordinator Jyoti Malhotra were present.
It was explained in detail about DPCO 2013 to the drug dealers. Also the prices of scheduled medicines were told in this online workshop.
“All the drug dealers have been asked to check the prices of medicines available at their shops from the prices fixed by the National Pharmaceuticals Pricing Authority (NPPA)” told Narender Ahooja.
“If the price of any scheduled medicine is found to be more than the prescribed price, then the information must be sent to your concerned Drug Control Officer and send the information to the Headquarters of FDA Haryana as well” said Ahooja.
Haryana PMRU was established in collaboration with NPPA and PMRU Haryana sends survey of essential medicines every week to NPPA.
In the same sequence, 31 FIRs were also registered by the FDA Haryana during the period of C-19 pandemic on the charge of black marketing essential medicines.
Sunil Dahiya, Senior Drug Control Officer (SDCO), Ambala and Praveen Kumar, Drugs Control Officer (DCO), Panchkula also stressed on selling the medicines at fair and fixed prices.
He also assured to keep the names of those who gave information about black marketing people secret.
At the end of the webinar, Sanjeev Goyal from the Drug Dealers Association, Panchkula, Ashu Gulati from Ambala, Virendra Garg from Ambala, etc., while giving their views, asked some questions and thanked FDA Haryana for this educational webinar
