Pharma firm executive booked: Covid-19

The Barotiwala police registered a case against an executive of Sun Pharma, who was tested Covid-positive in Panchkula yesterday, for making an unauthorised entry in Barotiwala on April 28.

SP, Baddi, Rohit Malpani said he was initially issued a pass to enter Baddi on April 12, but he left the area on his own when the pharma unit came under the containment zone and it was closed.

He came again on April 28 and was allotted an accommodation by the company management which knew that he had had no permission to come back. He stayed here till May 5 after which he returned to Panchkula. The company management had also been booked for negligence in allowing his unathorised stay in the area, added the SP.
