Aurangabad: The crime branch of the police have nabbed one of the key suspects, Shahid Razzak Gadbade from Nanded, who was involved in the unauthorised sale and supply of pharmaceutical drugs in different parts of the state.
The arrest comes in the wake of a registration of an offence against one Sagar Baburao Shinde on March 19 for unauthorised sale and supply of pharmaceutical drugs worth Rs 4.75 lakh. During interrogation, Shinde told police that these drugs were manufactured by a Delhi-based pharma companyPSI.
However, later it was found that the drugs were supplied by Gadbade from Nanded. Fearing arrest, he applied for anticipatory bail and was granted interim bail in August 2019. He succeeded in confirming the anticipatory bail in the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay high courton some conditions. He did not fulfill the conditions and was reluctant to cooperate with police in the investigation. The crime branch brought this fact to the notice of HC and the judge cancelled his bail on Friday.
Shahed left the court hall, switched off his phone and vanished from the court. A police squad arrested Shahed from the railway station.
