Agra: The drug department team raided the places of drug traffickers on Sunday. It has seized drugs used for intoxication, abortion kits, medicines supplied to central government hospitals including ESI and sample medicines.
Their estimated price is said to be around five crore rupees. Seven people associated with Jaipuria gang are being interrogated.
Four locations
The drug department team raided four locations, including a warehouse, two houses in Lohia Nagar Balkeshwar of Pankaj Gupta, the mastermind of the Jaipuria gang, who illegally traded drugs, abortion kits, central government supplies and sample drugs.
Large quantities of medicines were seized from here. The team then raided two transport company bases at Waterworks. Central government supplies and sample medicines were found in the carton at Hanumant Fruit and Juice Corner.

Meanwhile, on receiving information, the team caught a loading auto near MG Road. In the auto there was a tarpaulin on the carton, a bicycle was placed on it. Carton illegal drugs were seized.
Drug inspector Naresh Mohan Deepak told that the estimated value of the seized drugs is about five crore rupees. Late night action at political leader’s house on Saturday night, the drug department team raided the house of Asha Aggarwal at Lohia Nagar Balkeshwar.
He had given a warehouse on a rent of five thousand rupees to Pankaj Gupta, the kingpin of the Jaipuria gang. Here drugs were packed in gram sacks under the guise of flour mill and supplied in many states. The team took action till late in the night.
Roadways bus supplies along with the transport company, medicines are also being supplied from roadways buses in many states. Hanuman’s Fruit and Juice Corner used to keep cartons of medicines on the waterworks, they were sent by roadways bus.
