Palwal, Haryana: Four men were arrested in connection with an illegal sex determination racket during a raid by the police and the Health Department in the district yesterday.
The accused — Ombir, Kartar, Parveen and Ravi, all residents of the district — have been booked under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC-PNDT) Act.
A spokesperson for the department said the accused were arrested they were preparing to take the decoy customer for the sex-determination test to Dadri district in Uttar Pradesh.
He said Rs 40,000 taken by the accused for the deal was also recovered.
