Jaipur: The state government is going ahead with plans to build a medical devices park and has tied up with the Kalam Institute of Health Technology (KIHT) to develop the park with the necessary facilities.
The KIHT will help RIICO prepare a detailed project report and develop a financial and operational plan.
The MEDtechMedical Devices Park in Jodhpur is spread over 92.93 hectares.
In the first phase, 73 industrial plots of sizes 700 sq meters to 20000 sq meters have been planned on 48.03 hectares.
A RIICO official involved in the process said that they have already sold over 20 plots. As the park goes through the process of development with the help of KIHT, more and more investors will come.
RIICO officials said that the state will make the necessary investments to develop the park.
He said that the planned Common Facility Center in the Medical Devices Park, for which an area of 6.087 hectares has been earmarked, will be equipped with the most advanced common testing and laboratory facilities, and KIHT has been providing a roadmap for that.
The Rajasthan Petro Zone near Pachpadra has been waiting to be declared a PCPIR (Petroleum, Chemicals, and Petrochemicals Investment Region) region.
Recently, ACS Industries said that the state government has made a budget of Rs 1000 crore for the development of the zone.
So far, Rs 250 has been sanctioned for the development of 50 square kilometers of the region.
