  • For Medical Assistant trade (with Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy): Unmarried, born between June 24, 2000, and June 24, 2005; Married, born between June 24, 2000, and June 24, 2003.

Educational Qualification

(a) For Medical Assistant trade

  • Passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • OR Passed two years’ Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

(b) For Medical Assistant trade (with Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy)

  • Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
  • Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India.

Domicile Requirement

  • Candidates must satisfy specific conditions related to the geographical/administrative limits of districts mentioned.

Mandatory Medical Standards

  • Height: Minimum 152.5 cms
  • Chest: Well proportioned and well-developed with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cms.
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
  • Hearing: Normal hearing
  • Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth, and minimum 14 dental points
  • Visual Standards: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/9 each eye

7. Consumption of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS)

  • Zero tolerance policy to alcoholism and substance abuse.

8. Body Tattoo

  • Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, except on specific areas.

9. Sikh Candidates

  • Sikh candidates, whose religion prohibits cutting of hair or shaving of face, are permitted to grow hair and/or retain beard and mustache.

10. Candidates Discharged from Armed Forces

  • Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/any other Government Organization are eligible, subject to conditions.

12. Tenure & Training

  • Initial enrollment for 20 years, extendable up to the age of 57 years.
  • Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) and trade training are part of the journey.

  • Stipend during training: Rs. 14,600/- per month.
  • Starting gross emoluments after training: Rs. 26,900/- per month, with additional allowances.

  • Airmen can pursue higher education after acquiring prescribed skill grade and service years.

17. Job Specification of Medical Assistant Trade
