Project Research Scientist-I Opportunity:
NIPER Ahmedabad presents a promising opportunity for aspiring researchers through the position of Project Research Scientist-I.
The Institute invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for a prestigious project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Let’s explore the details of this exciting opportunity:
1. Project Details:
- The project, titled “Investigation of novel squaramide based IL-8R inhibitors and bio-instructive peptido-hydrogels for simultaneous management of metastatic oral squamous cell carcinomas and oral mucositis,” underscores the institute’s commitment to cutting-edge research with potential clinical implications.
2. Principal Investigator and Collaborators:
- Dr. Bichismita Sahu leads this ambitious project, supported by Co-Principal Investigators: Dr. Pinaki Sengupta, Dr. Hemant Kumar, and Dr. Amit Mandoli.
3. Position Details:
- Two positions for Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) are available, with one each in Chemical Science and Biological Science disciplines.
- The initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to three years based on project duration and performance.
4. Eligibility Criteria:
- For Chemical Science: Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related fields. Additionally, two publications as the first author in reputable journals are required.
- For Biological Science: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related areas, along with two first-author publications in reputed journals.
5. Desirable Qualifications:
- Expertise in synthesis techniques, purification methods, and characterization techniques.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and knowledge of cancer biology and inflammation mechanisms.
