A webinar has been organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 26-06-2020 involving Manohar lal Khattar, Chief Minister, Haryana, P D Vaghela, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Govt. of India, Dr Eswara Reddy, Joint DCGI, CDSCO, Narender Ahooja, State Drugs Controller (SDC) Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Haryana, Dr Dinesh Dua from CII, Bodhraj Sikri from CII, Guljit Chaudhary from CII, RL Sharma, Karnal Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association (KPMA) and more than 350 participants attended this webinar.
Dr Dinesh Dua made initial welcome address and started discussion and stressed on need of Bulk Drug Park to strengthen countries Phama Industry Formulation Units. He also informed that to reduce dependence on China we needs to develop our own Bulk Drug Industry strong. After that Bodhraj Sikri strongly advocated case of Haryana for Bulk Drug Park at Panipat and Medical Device Park at Karnal. He described the efforts of Industry and FDA Department of Haryana and thanked Govt of India and Govt of Haryana for taking pro active approach for growth of Pharma Industry “Made in India Pharmacy of World”, Supply of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to entire world even during lockdown situation in country.
After that Manohar Lal Khattar, CM Haryana appreciated the efforts of both Dr Dinesh Dua and Bodhraj Sikri for strongly presenting the case of both Bulk Drug Park and Medical Device Park at Panipat and Karnal respectively. He in principal approved the proposal of Bulk Drug and Medical Device Parks at Haryana. He informed the elite group of Manufacturer, Senior Beaurocrats including regulators from CDSCO Dr Eswara Reddy JDCI and Narender Ahooja SDC Haryana that Haryana is on Top in “Ease of Doing business” in Northern States and 3rd in the Country.
Haryana has strategic location having two international airports in vicinity and one domestic airport at Hisar. Best Road and Railway connectivity including KMP and KGP express highways. Railway corridor work is also in progress. CM Haryana appreciated the efforts of Haryana Beaurocracy for their efforts and assured the full support of Govt of Haryana for these Bulk Drugs and Medical Device Parks at Panipat and Karnal respectively. He assured the single window clearance for Electricity or Pollution Clearances and also described the time bound services under Right to Service Act and also deemed clearance process in Haryana.
In last Guljit Chaudhary thanked CM Haryana, PD Vaghela, Secretary DoP, regulators from CDSCO and FDA Haryana and all participants. After this Technical Sessions were also organized.
