In an attempt to fight the COVID 19, Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Haryana taken very fast and quick decisions for providing Good quality Hand Sanitizer in huge quantity . In its attempt to check quality of Hand Sanitizer Team FDA Gurugram started the crack down on unlicensed Hand Sanitizer Manufacturer.

Gurugram:
Ripan Mehta – Senior Drugs Control Officer  Gurugram, Amandeep Chauhan Drugs Control Officer Gurugram and Dinesh Rana – Drugs Control Officer – Nuh raided a premises at Udyog Vihar Phase 4, Gurugram. The trading company was indulged in selling the products Hand Sanitizer online through online portal Amazon. From the spot 80 pieces each 500 ml were recovered which were manufactured under cosmetics manufacturing license at Delhi.

However label claims signifies its effect as drug which is misleading and is being claimed to be effective against contagenious virus / kill germs. As per the invoices product was mostly ordered from Karnataka under influence of the misleading claim. It is requested to General Public to avoid such purchase online which misleads by false claims. The recovered sanitizers sampled from the spot.

Ambala:
Unlicensed manufacturing unit of hand sanitizer of Jaichand at Pargati vihar, Ambala cantt was raided by Sunil Chaudhary SDCO Ambala Zone , Parveen Kumar DCO Ambala under supervision of Manmohan Taneja ASDC FDA HQ and Jaichand was found manufacturing Hand Sanitizer without license and found using license number of Ben Pharma Ambala therefore Yogesh Middha of Ben Pharma was called on spot and an FIR got registered against the culprit.

Similarly raids were conducted at Sonepat and further informations given to FDA Delhi and Maharashtra . 

FDA Haryana issued more than 30 approvals to various industries in Haryana and also recommended the quotas of Alcohol for them to Excise Department. In an attempt to meet the increasing demand of Hand Sanitizer Haryana FDA issued licenses to Distilleries in Haryana for manufacturing of Hand Sanitizer as per WHO recommended formula and directed these distilleries to make supplies to Govt Hospitals Isolation Centers Private Hospitals Flu Clinics in Haryana preferably. More then 10 such licenses issued to distilleries  by FDA Haryana

By taking these steps FDA Haryana made Haryana to become self sufficient in required increasing need of Hand Sanitizer.
