CHANDIGARH: Punjab food and drugs administration (FDA) has seized approximately 12 lakh tablets of opioid painkiller tramadol in Amritsar under provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.

Worth of these tablets is around Rs 85 lakh.

Amritsar’s Drugs Control Officer Bableen Kaur and Zonal Licensing Authority (Drugs) Karun Sachdev had visited the firm Ravenbhel Pharmaceuticals at Baba Budha Ji Avenue, GT Road of Amritsar, for routine inspection.

During inspection of the above said firm the team seized approximately 12 lakh tablets of opioid painkiller tramadol worth of these tablets is around Rs 85 lakh.
