NEW DELHI: India will be self-reliant in producing rapid antibody tests and RTPCR diagnostic kits by May-end and it would make it possible for the country to meet the target of one lakh tests a day by the end of next month, health minister Harsh Vardhan said on Tuesday.

Exhorting scientists to speedily develop Covid-19 solutions such as vaccines, drugs and medical equipment, Vardhan said, “Out of at least half a dozen candidates supported for vaccines, four are in an advanced stage. Regulatory platform in one place has been constituted for speedy clearances.”
