Gist of Notification 25th September 2020: Medical Oxygen

National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has notified vide S.O. 3322 (E) dt 25-09-2020 the Price Cap for Medical Liquid Oxygen and Oxygen Inhalation (Medicinal gas) in Cylinder.

The salient features of the said notification is as under:

1. Notification No. S.O. No. 3322 (E ) dated 25^th September 2020.

2. Oxygen Inhalation (Medicinal gas) is a scheduled formulation under amended Schedule I of DPCO 2013.

3. NPPA has fixed the price of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) and Oxygen Inhalation (Medicinal gas) in cylinder.

4. Now Maximum Price (ex-factory) excluding GST of Oxygen Inhalation (Medicinal gas) in cylinder is fixed Rs. 25.71/- per cubic meter.

5. Maximum Price (ex-factory) excluding GST of LMO is fixed Rs. 15.22/- per cubic meter.

6. State will fix the rate of transportation of the filled oxygen cylinders.

7. This notification is not for oxygen used for industrial purposes.

8. Previous price of Medical Oxygen was Rs. 17.49/- per cubic meter which was fixed by NPPA vide notification no. S.O. 1213(E) dated 25^th March 2020.

9. The price of LMO was not fixed vide notification dated 25^th March 2020.

10. The said notification shall in force upto 31^st  March 2021 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
