Dr. John Berry White, MRCS, a British Surgeon of the East India Company, was the pioneer to start Health Education and health care in Assam. He established a medical school known as ‘Berry White Medical School’ at Dibrugarh, Assam in 1898-99. In course of time this medical school was upgraded and on 3rd Nov., 1947 the Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh was established and it stands as the first medical college in Assam.

The following vacancy shall be filled purely on temporary basis through WALK IN INTERVIEW under the “National AMR Surveillance Network Program of NCDC” in the Department of Microbiology, Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Guwahati-32 (Assam).

No. of Posts : 1

Educational Qualification and experience : 12th pass in Science and Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Institution/Board.

Desirable : Experience in dispensing and/or storage and dispensing of drugs in a reputed hospital or institution or in a drug store or a pharmaceutical concern

Monthly consolidates emoluments : Rs. 18,000/- consolidated per month
