- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English
- Candidates with Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, along with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Additionally, they need to have a valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India.
- Domicile Requirement:
- Candidates’ colleges/institutes where they passed the qualifying exams should be within the geographical/administrative limits of the specified districts. A domicile certificate from the appropriate authority is required if the state/district is not mentioned on the certificate/marks sheet.
- Medical Standards:
- Height: Minimum 152.5 cms
- Chest: Minimum range of expansion of 5 cms
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Hearing: Normal hearing, able to hear forced whisper from 6 meters by each ear separately
- Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth, minimum 14 dental points
- Visual Standards: Visual acuity, refractive error, and color vision requirements specified
- Tattoos and Sikh Candidates:
- Permanent body tattoos are generally not allowed, with specific exceptions
- Sikh candidates can retain hair and beard as per their religious beliefs
- Selection Procedure:
- Verification of Eligibility: Original educational certificates and other required documents will be scrutinized for eligibility verification before the physical fitness test.
- Physical Fitness Test: Includes a 1.6 Km run, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats within specified time limits.

Tenure, Pay & Allowances, and Other Benefits:
- Enrolment for an initial period of 20 years, which can be extended up to age 57.
- During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month.
- On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at Rs. 26,900/- per month, with additional allowances.
