Qualifications

Essential

A 1st Class postgraduate degree in Pharmacology / Medical Pharmacology / Biochemistry / Medical Biochemistry or a 2nd Class PG degree with Ph.D. in relevant subject (Pharmacology/ Medical Pharmacology / Biochemistry / Medical Biochemistry) from a recognized University.

Desirable

Experience in drugs analysis and development of analytical methods for drug quantification.
Proficiency in handling HPLC, LC-MS & GC-MS.
Research experience in the field of pharmacology and cell wall/ membrane fatty acids.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be entrusted with various crucial responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Performing and supporting departmental activities, including new method development and analysis of various anti-TB drugs, as well as anti-diabetic and anti-viral drugs in biological fluids and formulations.
Conducting pharmacokinetic studies, encompassing sample collection and analysis using various analytical instruments like HPLC/ LCMS, followed by data analysis and report generation.
Proficiency in analyzing cell wall/membrane fatty acids through GC-MS.
Assisting in biochemistry and molecular biology works, along with laboratory accreditation activities.
Overseeing lab and instrument maintenance, and handling indents and procurement of lab necessities (Lab inventory maintenance).
Performing other tasks assigned by superiors, and as necessitated by the department’s functions/activities.

Aptitude / Logical Reasoning: 20 questions
Subject Matter: 60 questions

The total duration of the test will be 90 minutes, with a total of 100 marks. Correct answers will receive a positive mark of 1, while incorrect answers will incur a negative mark of 0.25.
