The Opportunity:
ICMR is recruiting for two Scientist positions (Scientist-C and Scientist-D) to join their dynamic IPR Unit.
These roles offer a unique blend of scientific knowledge and legal expertise, allowing you to play a pivotal role in protecting and commercializing ICMR’s groundbreaking research discoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ICMR’s IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Oversee technology transfer of research innovations for public benefit.
- Conduct comprehensive IP searches and analyses.
- Draft and manage legal agreements related to IP and technology transfer.
- Foster entrepreneurship initiatives based on ICMR’s research.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, etc.) or a clinical subject (Medicine, Surgery, etc.).
- For Scientist-C: 4 years of experience in IPR management in healthcare/medicines.
- For Scientist-D: 8 years of experience in IPR management in healthcare/medicines.
- A registered Indian Patent Agent (preferred for Scientist-D).
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field (desirable).
- Experience in technology transfer, policy drafting, and entrepreneurship (desirable).
