The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all medical colleges to electronically fill out information relating to postgraduate medical broad specialty and super specialty admissions made in medical colleges and postgraduate institutes based on NEET PG 2022 and NEET SS 2022 counseling.
A special stray vacancy round for the open PG (MD, MS, and diploma) seats will be held, with the deadline for admission set for January 14, 2023, according to a statement from the Medical Counseling Committee.
Further, the state counseling authorities also have to complete the process of admission/counseling for the State Quota by 14th January 2023.
Also, the students for super specialty courses had to report by 12th January 2023 after the 2nd round of counseling.
According to the notice, all medical colleges and institutions in India that are part of the commission have been asked to take note that the online application form for candidates who have been admitted to PG broad specialty and super specialty programs will be reopened from January 13 to January 17, 2023.
The colleges must fill in the requisite data within the stipulated time. No physical/ manual data will be accepted whatsoever, is the reason, the NMC stated.
Earlier, the NMC extended the deadline for the medical colleges for filling up online details/data of students enrolled for 1st year MBBS degree for the academic year 2022-23.
The apex medical board has extended the deadline up to January 16, 2023, after taking note of the fact that the medical colleges did not upload the data within the stipulated time.
“Thus, as a one time measure the date of uploading said data in the NMC portal is once again extended till 16.01.2023.”
The NMC UG Medical Education Board stated in the notice dated January 10, 2023 that you are hereby requested to upload data/details pertaining to all students enrolled for the MBBS degree by your medical colleges by the target date, i.e., January 16, 2023, on a priority basis.
NMC is an Indian regulatory body of 33 members which regulates medical education and medical professionals.
The NMC grants recognition of medical qualifications gives accreditation to medical schools, grants registration to medical practitioners, monitors medical practice, and assesses the medical infrastructure in India.
