Jalandhar: The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Punjab raided the medicine shop. During this, medicines worth about 80 thousand rupees, used to promote intoxication, were sealed.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Raman Sharma said that an information was received about the supply of medicines used to promote intoxication from another district.
FDA got the details of the bills of medicines issued in Jalandhar from there. To investigate it, the team of Drugs Controller Officers Ravi Gupta and Dinesh Kumar raided a shop named Capital Pharma in Tilak Nagar Road area.
During this, the team sealed drugs promoting intoxication worth Rs 80,400. Apart from this 2500 tablets and 3400 capsules have also been sealed.
On the spot, the drug dealer failed to produce the record of the purchase of these medicines. The medicines will be taken in custody after presenting them in the court on Tuesday. Apart from this, a notice will be issued to the drug dealer.
