On September 25, 2022, the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA) Tamil Nadu Branch celebrated World Pharmacists Day 2022 in Dharmapuri.
On behalf of the IPGA-Tamil Nadu Branch, the Dharmapuri Chapter has inaugurated the World Pharmacists Day 2022 celebrations, which were held at Government Medical College and Hospital.
A big rally was conducted on this occasion. More than 800 pharmacists and pharmacy students participated in this rally.
A blood donation camp was also conducted during this occasion as part of the celebrations.
Dr. G. Selvaraj, Retired Director of Drugs Control, Tamil Nadu and President, IPGA Tamil Nadu Branch, was the Chief Guest.
The Symposium on Pharmacists for a Healthier World was organized with Dr. Alagumurugan Azhagarsamy, Scientist, Maiva Research, Hosur, as the keynote speaker.
The local organizing committee comprised E. Sakthivel and A. Chandramary, Drugs Inspectors of Dharmapuri District, Tamil Nadu.
E. Sakthivel, Drugs Inspector and member of the Local Organising Committee, said that the IPGA Tamil Nadu branch will organize this type of celebration every year on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day.
