NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity.
The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics.
The Institute aims at translational research leading to genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and basic research towards development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following position at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, against the DBT-funded project entitled “Aiming to identify farmer-friendly therapeutics to impede livestock ovarian aging”, PI: Dr. H.B.D. Prasada Rao, Co-PI: Dr. Shailesh Sharma NIAB, Hyderabad.

Essential qualification : Post Graduate Degree in life sciences OR Graduate / Post Graduate degree in professional course. .M.V.Sc. / M.Tech. / MSc. / M.Pharm Degree in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Immunology with first division. Experience with Bioinformatics will be preferred.
Fellowship : Rs. 25000+ 24% HRA

Essential qualification : Post Graduate Degree in life sciences OR Graduate / Post Graduate degree in professional course. .M.V.Sc./ M.Tech./ MSc./ M.Pharm Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry / Microbiology / Immunology with first division.
The candidate should have minimum two-year research experience preferably as JRF (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10.07.2020).
Experience in large animal handling, ultrasound imaging and ovarian biology will be preferred
Fellowship : Rs. 28000+ 24% HRA
Age : 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions).
