CDSCO
The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has published a a notice regarding the requirements of different senior positions to join the to join the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).
CDSCO is actively seeking well qualified candidates to join the 14 vacant posts which include:
- 1 Additional Drugs Controller,
- 4 Joint Drugs Controllers and
- 9 Deputy Drugs Controllers.
Eligibility and key requirements:
Type of post: It is on deputation basis (including short-term contract).
Eligibility: Applicants must be currently employed with the following:
- Central Government,
- State Government,
- Union Territories,
- Research institutions,
- Public Sector Undertakings,
- Recognized universities,
- Autonomous / Statutory Organizations.
Focus of the posts on Medical Devices: All the above posts are Group ‘A’ Gazetted non-ministerial category.
Expansion of CDSCO:
This recruitment drive is a part of the expansion plan in CDSCO.
This expansion plan may includes up to 300 new positions in near future.
This plan will strengthen the regulatory framework of the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors in India.
At present staff position at CDSCO:
At present, CDSCO is working with 197 dedicated officers. These officers are posted at regional offices, subregional offices, drug testing laboratories, zonal and sub-zonal offices, and port offices.
