The best and the easiest way to reduce the risk of coronavirus indoors
With the number of infected cases increasing every day, we all have to become even more cautious about our safety. Coronavirus can spread through cough and sneeze in the form of droplets that one expels and sometimes even through a contaminated touch. But a recent study has pointed out another possible form of transmission – aerosols. Aerosols are smaller airborne particles and are harder to avoid, especially when indoors.
What are aerosols?
Aerosol is a suspension of the fine solid particles or liquid droplets in air or other gases.
The study
According to a new study published in the Journal Environment International, there is something we can do about the aerosol. The study found that improving the ventilation in the house even in public or shared spaces can help reduce the risk of infection.
The study explains ventilation systems that are enhanced by particle filtration and air disinfection systems, and those which avoid recirculating air, are the most effective at keeping people safe. These strategies can also be incorporated into a range of public settings like hospitals, shops, offices, schools and restaurants.
