NIT Rourkela is one of the premier national level institutions for technical education in the country and is funded by the Government of India. Government of India has elevated the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela to a deemed university under the name of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. The main objective of the Institute is to produce quality Engineers and Scientists in Graduate and Post-Graduate levels in various branches of Engineering and Science.
Applications are invited on prescribed format for the temporary post of “Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF)” for the Project entitled “In-silico Studies of Structural Diversity of Glycosaminoglycans and their Interactions with Protein.” Selected candidate may enrol in Ph.D. Programme in the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology Rourkela based on Institute norms and regulations.

Job Description : Computational research work (Molecular Docking and Molecular dynamics simulation to study Protein-Glycan interactions) related to the project. Candidate may register for Ph.D at NIT Rourkela

Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship : Rs. 31,000 /- (JRF) / Rs. 35,000 /- (SRF) per month
Essential Qualifications and experience : M.Sc. in Chemistry / Physics or M. Pharm with 65 % marks or above. For SRF, in addition to the above at least 2 years of research experience in the field of Computational Chemistry/Computer-aided drug design is needed.
Desirable Qualifications / Experiences :
– Career 1st Class.
– One 2nd class may be considered (for any of 10th/12th/ B. Sc) with valid NET/GATE.
