The Indian Institute of technology (IIT) Ropar community has undertaken an important exercise of developing the Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan for the coming years.
The exercise was carried out in active consultation with Indian Institute of Management Calcutta who have got technical expertise in this area.
A participative bottom up approach was followed in formulating the Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan.
Inputs from the entire IIT Ropar fraternity, MHRD, Board of Governors, alumni, and industries were considered in the process.
Finally we have arrived at the following Motto, Mission and Vision statements for our institute.
Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF, 1 No).
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT-funded research project with following details:
Title of the project: Antisense oligonucleotide-loaded, 3D printed, double-layered, and multifunctional wound healing matrix to target angiogenesis in chronic diabetic wounds.
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Yashveer Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, IIT Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab (01881-232068/9779668895; yash@iitrpr.ac.in).
Co-PI: Dr. Durba Pal, Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, IIT Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab.
Essential qualifications: MSc (Chemistry/Biochemistry); MPharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences); MTech (Materials) or an equivalent degree with a minimum aggregate score of 60 percent (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10).
For the SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55 percent aggregate score (6.0 grade points on a scale of 10) in masters degree.
In addition, the candidate must have qualified CSIR/ UGC JRF-NET/ GPAT/ GATE/ BET
Age limit: 28 years.
Salary: As per the DBT norms.
Duration: Three years or up to the termination of project, subject to annual performance review.

Note: The candidate selected for the position of JRF will have the option to register for PhD program at IIT Ropar.
