  • NSL 100 IV Fluid: A common intravenous fluid.
  • IV Sets: Used for administering medications intravenously.
  • Spafast-D Injection (Thiocolchicoside + Diclofenac Injection): Used for pain relief.

For instance, the Zofer injection, which has a maximum retail price (MRP) of Rs. 13.35, was being sold for a staggering Rs. 150.

Similarly, the NSL 100 IV fluid, priced at Rs. 22, was being sold for Rs. 180.

Legal Action Initiated

The DCA Telangana has registered a case against the hospital under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, and the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013.

“We will take strict action against all those involved in this illegal activity,” said VB Kamalasan Reddy, Director General of DCA Telangana.”

“No one is above the law, and we will ensure that patients are not exploited.”
