Non-Consumable Declaration: Symbol for Products Not Meant for Human Consumption In the diverse market of retail products, clarity is key, especially when it comes to items not intended for human consumption, such as Pooja water, Ghee for diya, and Oil for Pooja.

To exclusively mark these products, a specific symbol is to be used for use on the packaging.

Symbolic Declaration

On the Label:

  • Every package of food material sold in retail but not meant for human consumption must bear a declaration through a symbol.
  • The symbol should consist of a black cross inside a square, outlined in black.
