Display Clarity: Guidelines for Principal Display Panel

The principal display panel plays a crucial role in conveying essential information about a product to consumers.
To ensure clarity and standardization, specific guidelines are outlined concerning the arrangement of information and the dimensions of this primary display area.
1. Arrangement of Information
Grouping of Information:
- The information required under these regulations should be grouped together and presented at one place on the principal display panel. Alternatively:
- For pre-printed information, it should be grouped together in one place, and online information or non-pre-printed information should be grouped together in another place.
2. Area Specifications
Rectangular Packages:
- For rectangular packages, the principal display panel’s area should not be less than forty percent of the product of the height and width of the panel with the largest area.
Cylindrical, Round, Oval Packages:
- For cylindrical, round, oval, or nearly oval packages, the principal display panel’s area should not be less than forty percent of the product of the height and average circumference of the package.
Other Shapes:
- For packages of any other shape, the principal display panel’s area should not be less than twenty percent of the total surface area of the package.
Small Packages:
- In the case of packages with a capacity of ten cubic centimeters or less, the principal display panel may be a card or tape firmly affixed to the package, bearing the required information under these regulations.
3. Height of Numerals and Letters
Specifications:
- The height of any numeral and letter required under these regulations on the principal display panel should adhere to the specified standards.
