Guidance and instructions for Food Labelling

For the proper handling of food products and in the interest of consumer well-being, there must be clear and concise instructions on the food labelling.

These instructions will enhance the experience of the consumers as well as provide the safety and health considerations that are related to the consumption of some of the food products.

1. Instructions

On the Label:
  • Food labelling must be included with its specific instructions for use for the ease of the consumers.
  • These types of guidance on how to use the food product effectively on the labels may also include any necessary steps for its reconstitution if applicable.

2. Health and Safety

Refrigeration and More:
  • These instructions may be extended beyond their basic use guidance.
  • For example, if refrigeration is necessary after opening it for any reason for health and safety, this information must be printed on the food label.
