Cosmetic Rules 2020
A webinar on Cosmetic Rules 2020 organised by FOPE on the initiative taken by Bodh Raj Sikri, Chairman FOPE and Vinod Kalani working president FOPE along with Narender Ahooja, State Drugs Controller, (SDC) Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) Haryana.

Aparajita Takkiar Sr Vice President FOPE, Harish Jain, Regulatory Advisor FOPE and Subarao Chinni Secretary FOPE were organizers of the webinar.
More then 190 Industry Representative, Regulators from many states and few eminent Lawyers participated in this webinar which lasted for more then two hours.

Bodh Raj Sikri made his initial remarks and detailed about various initiative taken by Govt of India and Govt of Haryana. Sikri also congratulated the Modi Govt and Regulators for success full beginning of Made in India and Indian C-19 Vaccine.
Narender Ahooja informed that Indian Drug Regulatory has risen to the occasion to fight against C-19 and approved the Indian C-19 Vaccines which will help the world in the fight against this pandemic.
These are safe and effective vaccines against C-19 as declared by DCGI in his press conference.
Ahooja initiated the discussion on Cosmetic Rules 2020 and made observations on Chapter 1 and 2.

Manmohan Taneja discussed Chapter 3 and then P K Jaggi and R K Chugh concluded the discussion and then from Industry side Vinod Kalani put the concerns of Industry.
Aparajita and Subarao Chinni made their valuable inputs on this subject giving the concerns of Industry and sought the clarification.
Many Industry Representative also put their questions which were answered by Penal. Eminent lawyer Sanjay Jain also chipped in and made their quick remarks.
B R Jagashetty Retd Regulator from Karnataka, Lalit Kr Goel ASDC Haryana, Nilesh Gandhi Co Author of Books on Drugs Act, K R Chawla ADC Delhi, Rajinder Harna Retd ASDC Haryana, Ripan Mehta and Rakesh Dahiya SDCO FDA Haryana have also attended the seminar.
It was decided to forward the concerns of Cosmetic Industry and clarification required to be sent to Drugs Controller General of India for harmonized interpretation and enforcement of Cosmetic Rules 2020.
In the end Vinod Kalani presented the vote of thanks and wished more such educational seminars on recent Notifications Circulars Amendments etc.
