Continued……. India and Pharmacy Education: Chapter: 2

Pharmacy has always been defined as the science and technique of preparing and distributing medicinal drugs. However, it extends far beyond these roles. It is actually a health science  meant for maintenance of a quality life of a patient. It is a link between medical sciences with chemistry.

It is initiated from discovery or synthesis or research and extends to clinical research, medicinal manufacturing, marketing, effective use, control and disposal of drugs. A person engaged in this profession needs to be well aware with knowledge of diseases and drugs.
