Oxidative Stress, Exposure to Blue light, Glycation, Environmental Damage, Hormonal Imbalance, Excess Drinking & Smoking, Dehydrated Skin etc are several causes that effect the occurrence time, depth & other signs of ageing.

We often see that people with dry – dehydrated skin develops signs of ageing early. Different people have difference in the pattern of development of wrinkles.

Various practices & change in habits stops the early development of wrinkles & delays the signs of ageing & formation of deep lines when we age.

So, it is absolutely correct that applying various kind of skincare products made specially to target signs of ageing will definitely stop development of Early signs of ageing & will delay the formation of fine & deep wrinkles.

What Are the Several Ways to Delay Formation of Wrinkles?

Ageing is one of the significant causes of wrinkles. Our skin’s repair mechanism decreases as we age. This is the main cause of skin sagging & formation of lines or wrinkles.

We cannot stop this natural process. But yes, with proper diet, exercise, skincare products & skincare regime, one can delay its occurrence & reduce its deepness.

Different ways to delay formation of wrinkles & other signs of ageing are:

1. Application of Sunscreen before going out in sun.

2. Application of Day-Night creams & other skincare products that focus on synthesis of Collagen & Elastin Fibres.

These type of Skincare products targets formation of wrinkles & makes skin youthful & plump. Always check the proven efficacy before buying any such product.

3. Follow proper skincare regime that will keep skin clean, moisturized & hydrated.

4. Apply products that have efficacy towards various skin concerns like – Wrinkles, dark circles, crow’s feet, dehydrated skin, fine lines etc.

We often see claims from various  skincare brands like – “Contains ‘SUBLISKIN’ Clinically proven to reduce wrinkle quantity by 46% in 1 month”. These claims proves the tested efficacy of these products.

5. Refrain from watching screens (mobile phone or television) for long hours specially during bed time as blue light from them disturbs the circadian clock that may cause premature ageing.

6. Application of skincare products that helps skin in Cell detoxification. This will promote cell regeneration & reduce oxidative stress in the epidermis.

Weekly use of exfoliants & clay mask also helps in removing dead skin cells & leads to regeneration of new skin cells.

7. We have already discussed that Hormonal imbalance also leads to increase in early signs of ageing.

One should eat fresh fruits & vegetables every day. Eating healthy food instead of junk & packaged food will promote proper excretion of hormones in the body.

8. Application of skin hydrators. This will maintain skin’s hydration level & make it look youthful & plump.

9. Drink lots of water. Drinking water will ensure proper hydration in skin & proper functioning of body’s detoxification mechanism. This will ensure radiant plump & younger looking skin.

10. Do light face massage using fingers or jade stone roller using an anti-ageing serum. One should also do regular facial exercise to maintain skin’s elasticity.
