Skincare: 6 key ingredients to detoxify your skin

In today’s world when our surroundings are full of impurities and pollutants ‘Detoxification’ is a familiar term. Detoxification of the skin is equally important as detoxification of the body.

Detoxification helps skin to function normally with its daily wear & tear process. It freshens & cleanses skin to boost its metabolism.

INTRODUCTION

Detoxification comes from two words that are DE + TOXINS. It means removing toxins. Skin Detox is very important as our skin tends to shed old cells, debris, dirt, sebum etc. which needs to be cleaned properly.

Also, in today’s polluted environment toxins get trapped in our skin layers this needs to be released from the skin.

Detoxification de-clogs pores by removing impurities, free radicals & harmful entities from the skin.

6 key ingredients that detoxify skin:

Skincare products like Face Scrubs, Clay Mask, Serums etc. help in releasing toxins. They include special ingredients that help in the detoxification process of the skin.

They work by removing unwanted debris from the skin & promotes healthier looking skin.

Healthy skin functions properly & contributes in collagen & elastin production that are the main pillars in skin’s health.

Following mentioned ingredients if present in your skincare will Detoxify your Skin expertly.

1.     YEAST

Active ingredients made from Yeast have active molecules that helps in regeneration, repairing & detoxification of skin cells.

A special yeast called Candida Saitoana helps in reinforcing the cell detoxification process in skin by boosting the skin’s autophagy system.

It helps in making skin surface smoother, younger looking & brighter.

2.     CLAY & MUD

Various clays like Rhassoul Clay, Bentonite Clay, Fullers Earth Mud, Kaolin Clay, Dead Sea Mud etc. are the magical ingredients that helps in purifying the skin by removing various toxins from the skin.

They unclog the pores by removing dead skin cells & impurities. For skin detoxification they come in the form of clay mask or clay cleansers.

3.     CHARCOAL

Charcoal powder made from Bamboo or coconut shell has activated carbon that helps in eliminating impurities from the skin surface.

This ingredient mainly comes in the form of scrub, face wash or clay mask.

Carbon is known to attract impurities from its surrounding leaving the surface clean & pure. Thus, it is a very good ingredient to look for in a skincare product for its detoxification.

4.     ALGAE

Algae has active compounds that have antioxidants which are good for skin. when applied topically in form of active ingredient, it prevents skin from oxidation by detoxifying it.

It helps in cleansing the skin deeply to promote cell regeneration. Algae can be found in clay mask, serums, night creams, face mist etc. specially formulated to detoxify the skin to make it look brighter & healthy.

a problem of oily skin with breakouts you should use a serum that focus on problems related with that like- breakouts, open pores, sebum control, controls bacterial proliferation etc.

5.     CHLOROPHYLL

Chlorophyll is a green pigment which is present in all green plants. Few plants have it in high percentage.

So, applying any skincare product which is rich in chlorophyll helps in detoxifying & rejuvenating the skin.

This helps in removing the dead skin cells & promote cell regeneration that makes skin healthier & brightens the complexion.

6.     Vitamins

Vitamin rich products have proven great in the process of skin detoxification. Vitamin C specially has the power to eliminate toxins from the skin.

Fruits like berries, plums, oranges, mandarin etc. are the great source of vitamin C.

So, serums, face cleansers, creams, masks etc. with vitamin C helps in eliminating the toxins from the skin.

They are little irritant on sensitive skin so patch test is always recommended before using any such product.

Detoxifying skin is equally important as detoxifying body. It will help in regeneration of skin cells which further promotes production of collage & elastin fibers.

So, include any skincare product that has any one magical ingredient listed above in its ingredient list.
